It was a complete pleasure to be guided through Florence by Simone. He was recommended to us by VBT and we could not have been more pleased. He was prompt for our initial meeting, and the following day for our tour. He walked us to, and through many historic sites in Florence, assisted in getting last-minute tickets to the Academia, and even made three terrific restaurant recommendations! While in the Academia, his knowledge of Michelangelo’s David enriched our visit beyond words. Simone is exceptionally knowledgeable about art history, architecture, and the history of Florence. It was particularly impressive, when asked a question, Simone did not just provide a one or two sentence answer. He provided ancillary information which really “completed the story.” He is a scholar, a gentlemen, and a wonderful tour guide. We had a lovely, engaging and fascinating walking tour through the city of Florence and an amazing narrative tour through the Academia Gallery, all lead by Simon. He was terrific. Not only is extremely knowledgeable about the broad history of Florence since the middle ages through WWII and modern time, but he is also a superb conduit of art history. His ability to tell a compelling and informative "story," whether it is about the Medici family or Michaelangelo's "prisoner" sculptures and David, (all exhibited within the Academia) held my wife's and my rapt attention for over 3 hours. Simon is a superb tour guide. We were delighted to be on his tour and felt fortunate to have him guide us in Florence..

Simone is probably the best tour guide we have ever had. He is knowledgeable, personable, and was able to interact with us in a way that showed interest in the subject but also interest in us. He is a master tour guide.

We've been on tours with Simone 3 or 4 times, and he's truly amazing. I'd seen images of Michelangelo's David many, many times, but Simone's description brought that statue to life. He's knowledgeable, he speaks English well, and he has a great sense of humor.

My wife and I were lucky to hire Simone for a tour of Florence the Uffizi Museum and the Accademia gallery...sounds dry but what we got were days full of stories about the history and person's that shaped the city, Simone has a palpable pride and love for this city that is so enjoyable to experience from the work of the Masters to the political intrigues and scandal and even the best gelato joint in the city ( we still intend to collect on that one)...where to eat where to go and why in Florence then Simone is the man to ask..we definitely recommend his tour

Omg! Where to begin?? We hired Simone as our tour guide in Florence as we had one day to explore the city.. He packed in so many sights, and his knowledge and insight to all the history was beyond impressive! We never would have seen and learned so much without his guide. He was so patient and made sure we saw everything and anything we wanted, and he also eliminated our having to wait in an extremely long line that wrapped around the very popular gallery Dell- Academia where Michael Angelo’s famous statue of David remains. We learned so much about “David”; it was just fascinating! And I must admit, i’m not a history lover! Simone made the tour so much fun! He gives us tips on where to have dinner and a history of local foods as well. If you are going Florence you would be amiss not to find him as your guide! I’m so glad we did! We would have missed so much!

My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) were fortunate to spend couple of days with Simone in Florence. Besides that he is very knowledgeable, he is also very engaging and was perfect for us and teens. It was so easy to plan and communicate prior to our trip as Simone is very responsive, professional and fluent in English.
